Peace Mission by Expatriate Indians and Pakistanis
A peace effort by expatriate Indians and Pakistanis from North America and Europe will visit ten cities in India and Pakistan between December 28, 2004 – Jan 8, 2005. For the first time in modern history, a group of both Indians and Pakistanis living in US, UK and Canada are jointly engaged in People-to-People diplomacy by organizing a joint visit to the region. (There have been many Indians visiting Pakistan and Pakistanis visiting India for business or educational reasons). The purpose of this joint mission is to encourage two neighboring nuclear powers to find peaceful solutions to their long standing problems and help create friendship and goodwill between the people living on both sides of the border.

Mr PrabhuDoss, you are a champion of religious minorities and the concern you showed for the victims of Gujarat riots, should be extended to the "Quarter Million" Kashmiri Pandits, who have been uprooted from their home and are living as refugee's in their own country. I would request you to take up their case also and bring out before the world, the abuse and destruction this community faced, in the name of "Freedom Struggle" of Kashmir. The Islamists fundamental elements led by "Hizb-ul-Mujahideen", LeT, JKLF, Hurriyat and Pakistani generals" should be exposed, then only it would prove that you are really serious about human rights violations. Otherwise you are just one of those pseudo-Secularist propped up by some vested interests to defame India and Hindu's. Posted by: Deepak Kaul on March 20, 2005 11:20 PMDeepak Kaul is a new name and suddenly it leap in from a long distance to very close. I am one of the member of delegation and always thought of many who always chersihed the thoughts of peace and good will but could not come along. you inspire me for the continuation of the mission we took. keep it up and b in touch. Posted by: Cllr Faizullah Khan on June 9, 2005 07:43 AMThe only logical solution is that we go back to the way we were, before the British divided us. It makes no sense for us to continue to live as 2 nations suspicious of each other. If you take a close look at all of the names of the members of the joint delegation, there are at least 4 muslim names out of 14, on the Indian delegation. THAT IS INDIA : Musilms,Hindus and all other religions living together peacfully. THAT WAS INDIA, before we allowed the foriegn forces to divide us. it is a very unnatural sepration. We must unite and reroute our resources towards education, health and prosperity OF OUR CITIZENS, rather than waste on nuclear arms and building huge military organizations. I for one do not care what we call our unified nation, call it PAKISTAN, INDIA, SHANTI OR AMAN, But for god's sake lets live in peace.
