Delegation for Peace and Justice to Kashmir
From June 29th to July 12th 2006, Asha Parivar is going to organize the visit of a Delegation for Peace and Justiceto Kashmir. When we went there to carry out relief work after the earthquake we felt that calamities like earthquake, that are of physical nature, are probably easier to handle than the continuous terror under which people of Kashmir have to live. There is every day calamity and disaster in the lives of Kashmiri people who have probably forgotten what it is to live like normal human beings free of military and state interference in their lives. The future is very uncertain for them. They don’t know what tragedy will strike their family tomorrow. When Kashmiris go outside J&K even then they are tormented. They can be picked up by the police anytime for interrogation and have to face harassment everywhere. Asha Parivar had organized a one day fast in support of the human rights of Kashmiri people on January 30th, 2006 at Rajghat which was attended among others by Professor S.A.R. Geelani. Hence Asha Parivar has decided to take a delegation of people from different parts of India to understand the stress under which people of Kashmir live and share their grief. The idea is to educate ourselves about the problems of Kashmiri people. The delegation will visit 7 Districts of Kashmir starting from Doda. Programme schedule of delegation for peace and justice. 28-06-06 dep from delhi - kaushal kumar-9810405050 faisal khan -9313106745 29/30th june in doda-contact - sahab - 09906048300 1st2nd july-anantnag 3rd and 4th july-pulwama 5th and 6th july-kupwara contact-09422323569 7th and8th july -wadgam - contact - shamim - 1951-230847 9th and 10th july baramula nooruddin-09906482462 11th and 12th july srinagar contact-bilal Interested persons should make contact as soon as possible Contact Information: faisal khan –09313106745, cpchindiaATyahooDOTcom, mayank singh –9818361619, ashaashram@yahoo.com Related Links Revisiting Geelani’s Comments Thaw in the Thar May Conscience Guide Our Policies RSS and the Politics of Disaster Relief Posted by collective at June 24, 2006 06:30 PM Comments
PEACE IN KASHMIR WILL COME WHEN MUSLIM POPULATION OF KASHMIR COMDEMS AND PROTESTS BY BEATING THEIR CHESTS IN STREETS THE SAME WAY WHEN HINDUS ARE KILLED IN KASHMIR OR ELSEWHERE IN INDIA. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME BY DOING SOCIAL SERVICE TO WIN THEIR HEARTS. INDIA ANNUALLY INVESTS MORE IN KASHMIR [THOUSAND OF CRORES ]THAN ANY OTHER STATE IN INDIA BUT THEIR FIRST LOVE IS ISLAM INSTEAD OF INDIA WHOM THEY SPIT ON. THIS CANNOT CHANGE BECAUSE OF PAKISTAN. TRY BRINGING MODERN EDUCATION THERE AND SEE HOW THEY WILL SHOO YOU OFF IF NOT KILLED.AFTERALL, THIS IS SOCIAL WORK OF THE HIGHEST ORDER. Posted by: Anil Kapur on August 8, 2006 10:42 AMPost a comment
