Mann Manam

Mann Manam, a presentation by Aniccha Arts, is about a collective diasporic reality inspired by stories from the Twin Cities Tamil Community.

Pramila Vasudevan of Aniccha Arts says "It is intended to reflect the diverse experiences from different generations, values, cultures and communities but viewd through a common lens, in this case Tamil. In particular, it depicts those who do not necessarily identify with specific cultural patterns and who are willing to celebrate the dynamism, similarities as well as differences of a locally adapted culture."

Mann is Soil, Manam - the Mind. This is an EXPERIMENTAL and  INTERACTIVE workspace where the active participation of an audience is encouraged. The installation includes music, movement and interactive technology.

Three shows are scheduled at the CENTER FOR INDEPENDENT ARTISTS on Friday, 27th October at 8PM; Saturday, October 28th at 8PM, and Sunday, October 29th at 7PM.

Performers are Nirmala Rajasekar, Pramila Vasudevan, and Vijay Ramanathan.
