After taking the message of the Right to Information (RTI) Act to about 80,000 people across Gujarat in the five months since it was flagged off, the country's first ever 'RTI-on-wheels' is now set to roll into Mumbai. This would be for the first time that 'RTI-on-wheels' would be going outside the state for RTI outreach programs.

Public Concern for Governance Trust (PCGT), a Mumbai-based NGO which has eminent citizens like supercop Julio Ribeiro and former cabinet secretary DG Deshmukh as its trustees and members working for promoting transparency and accountability in governance through RTI has invited and will be hosting the 'RTI-on-wheels'.

The Mahiti Adhikar Gujarat Pahel (MAGP) run 'RTI-on-wheels' was flagged off on March 17 in the city by Usha Dhavan, a physically challenged woman who had won back her STD-PCO booth using RTI after a two-year-long struggle.
